Northwick Park is home to a University of Westminster campus and a large hospital.

A 24-year-old man who was arrested at Northwick Park Station whilst in possession of drugs and an offensive weapon is the subject of a police enquiry after he fell ill in custody.

British Transport Police officers arrested the man just before 3pm on Wednesday 10th. He was taken to Wembley police station, where he fell ill and was taken to hospital. He is reported to be in a serious condition although the nature of his illness is unknown.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission has said that there is no suggestion, at this stage, of the man having suffered physical injury whilst in custody. Inquiries are ongoing.
